Man, today was such a good day!
Today’s post will definitely have more than one thing to be grateful for as I reflect upon this day.
I am grateful for good days at work (aka the days I teach first grade). My first grade babies are such sweethearts, and my heart is always filled with glee whenever I get to work with them or see them during school. They are always there will bright, smiling faces and the most cheerful “aloha” whenever they see me, and hugs are always a guaranteed greeting from the vast majority of the students in each class. They always leave me with a huge smile on my face.
I am grateful for these past few days. It’s such a rare feeling having multiple good days back to back, especially since I’ve been stressing out so much lately about different things in my life. It feels amazing to feel so uplifted and genuinely happy throughout the day instead of feeling frustrated and ultimately disappointed in myself when things go wrong. Being able to relieve some of that built up stress the past few days and to just take some time to just relax has truly helped with my mood.
I am grateful for this week’s schedule due to Election Day tomorrow. The next couple of days off gives me time to prepare myself physically, mentally, and emotionally for Thursday when I have kindergarten, and I am more than appreciative for the days off.
I am grateful to spend some time with my mom. She’s been going through quite a bit (which I don’t want to get into at the moment), and throughout it all, she’s continuously demonstrated just how much of a strong woman she has always been. With all these obstacles thrown her way, it makes me appreciate every single moment I spend with her even more than I already do.
And finally, I am appreciative to witness beautiful (double) rainbows like the one I witnessed today during my shift at my tutoring job! I always feel so blessed to live here where rainbows dance across the skies every so often 🙂
Happy Mondays are so rare, so I definitely am grateful for such an amazing day as today!
Me ke aloha,
